The Qatar Fund for Development has announced the successful completion of a relief project aimed at aiding over 18,000 families.

In collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross, the initiative extended support to nearly 100,000 individuals across diverse communities.

According to a statement by the Fund, the project targeted approximately 6,499 families affected by the Derna disaster, delivering essential food supplies and household items.

"The aid facilitated economic recovery by granting assistance to 538 families to either initiate or restart their businesses, thereby enhancing their financial autonomy and resilience," the statement noted.

The fund also highlighted that the project improved living conditions for around 8,328 families by providing essential materials and offering financial aid to approximately 82 families.
