Speaker of the House of Representatives in Tobruk, Agaila Saleh, handed over the state budget to the head of the parallel government, Osama Hammad, to begin its implementation.
The House of Representatives in Tobruk approved in July the largest budget in Libya’s history for 2024, worth 179 billion dinars, after adding an additional 98 billion dinars.
For its part, the High Council of State announced its rejection of this budget approval, and considered it an “invalid individual measure” that explicitly violates Libyan Constitution, in addition to violations in form and content.
