Vice President of the Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, received Tuesday members from the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee (JMC) to follow up on their work.
The JMC representatives briefed Al-Lafi on the outcomes of the committee's recent meeting in Tripoli, which also grouped several security leaders.
A statement by the PC media office praised the committee's work and welcomed any step towards unifying the military establishment.
The unification will help the military take its course by supporting stability, protecting borders, and securing the upcoming presidential and legislative elections, the statement read.
