The Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, announced the launching of a series of “national dialogue sessions” in the coming period, aimed at breaking the political deadlock in the country and reaching sustainable solutions that ensure stability and progress.
In a statement, Al-Lafi explained that these sessions will bring together a select group of political leaders, members of the legislative authority, political parties, academics, municipal mayors, legal experts, and representatives from several countries involved in Libyan affairs.
According to the statement, the aim of these dialogue sessions is to explore ways to end the political crisis, strengthen the path toward national consensus, and reach a comprehensive Libyan national vision based on the political, social, and economic realities, meeting the aspirations of the Libyan people to build a stable state.
The statement added that the discussions will cover the national initiative that has been previously announced attracting broad participation from various political forces. Efforts will be made to develop and enhance this initiative in line with the evolving political landscape, ensuring its flexibility to accommodate various constructive proposals and ideas, the statement explained.
