Aman Organization Against Discrimination (AOAD) has warned the Presidential Council (PC) of the consequences of providing legitimacy to one of the conflicting parties in Sabha, explaining that it considers what is happening right now a solid predictor of a humanitarian disaster against civilians in residential neighbourhoods.

In a statement, the AOAD expressed its surprise at the PC statement issued on February 27 on the events in the south in general and in Sabha in particular, in which the PC praised what the organization described as "systematic killings" carried out by militias stationed at the former headquarters of the Fares Battalion.

It further noted that it considers the act as an obvious bias to one party of the conflict in Sabha that will further fuel the problem between the Libyan parties, adding that it holds the PC accountable for the consequence of such discriminatory statements.
