Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh discussed with his Jordanian counterpart, Ahmed Safadi, the developing situation in Libya during his visit to Amman on Tuesday.
Al-Safadi affirmed Jordan's support, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, for the efforts aimed at bridging the gap between Libyan parties and reaching a political solution that restores security and stability.
He reaffirmed his country's position towards Libya, its people, and its national interests, hoping for a permanent solution that achieves the aspirations of Libyans and preserves the country's resources, security, and stability, according to a statement by the Jordanian Parliament.
