The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, announced that a new round of consultations will be held with the heads of the Presidential Council and the High Council of State soon at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
Saleh said in response to a question from Asharq Al-Awsat Newspaper on the sidelines of the plenary session of the Arab Parliament, on Saturday, at the headquarters of the Arab League that the previous round of that dialogue, which was hosted by the General Secretariat of the Arab League, reached tangible results, as the parties agreed to unify the sovereign positions in Libya, ensure the activation of its assigned role at the state level, and form a unified government, reaffirming Libya’s sovereignty and stability.
The Speaker of the HoR expressed his optimism about the future of the situation in Libya as everyone seeks to get out of the crisis and reach elections in the country.
Saleh hailed the decisions issued by the International Court of Justice calling for the need to stop the Israeli military operation in Rafah, describing those decisions as an important step to agree on the principle of stopping the hostilities that have been ravaging the Gaza Strip since October 07, 2023.
