Head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, met with the Chargé d’Affairs of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, and the Acting Director of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Allison Noble, to discuss strengthening of partnership between the Audit Bureau and the Agency.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives of the US Departments of Treasury and State, discussed ways to develop human resources and extend the agreement signed between the two parties for an additional two years.
The importance of oversight work to increase transparency and enhance accountability was also discussed, in addition to the financial and economic situation of the state and the Bureau’s vision for confronting potential risks.
