The British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall on Tuesday conducted a visit to Nalut town in Jabal Nafusa, west of Libya.

Ambassador Hurndall said the visit was part of her country's efforts "to deepen engagement with partners across Libya and consider areas of collaboration on issues ranging from security to cultural projects and local governance."

The British diplomat met with political and social leaders in Nalut, including the mayor and representatives of tribal groups in the region.

She said talks focused on collaboration to create space for debate on key local issues from healthcare to security, helping to fortify historic granaries at risk from climate change, and the British Council's support to preserve Amazigh heritage and culture.
