President of the Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, who chairs the High-Level African Commission on Libya, has urged the international community to help restore stability in Libya.

Speaking from Addis Ababa at the 36th regular session for Heads of African Union member states on Friday, Nguesso expressed his optimism about the ongoing peace process in Libya.

In this context, he called on concerned parties to carry forward the agenda for the comprehensive national reconciliation conference.

The two-day African assembly featured the participation of the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, and the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat.
