Egypt has welcomed the joint tripartite statement issued in the city of Benghazi by the head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, and Khalifa Haftar.
In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, reiterated Cairo's support for the Libyan state institutions to carry out their tasks in order to achieve the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya as soon as possible.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry also called on all international parties to support these efforts within the framework of commitment to the principle of supporting the intra-Libyan solution, according to the statement.
