The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation has hosted a high-level delegation consisting of representatives from EgyptAir Training Academy, the Libyan Air Navigation Services, and the Libyan Wings of Sky Aviation Academy at the Cairo Air Navigation Center.
The two sides discussed the executive procedures for air traffic management and the operational linkage mechanisms between the Egyptian and Libyan airspaces, aiming to improve air traffic management between the two countries, according to the Middle East News Agency.
Ayman Fawzi Arab, the Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company stated that this step is part of the company’s plan to support African countries in the fields of air navigation and airports, contributing to enhancing the efficiency of air traffic between Egypt and Libya in the near future.
The visit included a tour of the Air Traffic Control Training Simulator at the Cairo Air Navigation Center (TBS) to observe the available technical and operational capabilities.
According to the National Air Navigation Services Company, the visit is part of strengthening the joint cooperation to train Libyan air traffic controllers under the implementation of the partnership protocol with EgyptAir Training Academy.
