The French Foreign Ministry has appealed to all parties in Libya to reengage in the political process led by the United Nations and desist from any hostile actions.
The Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Agnes Von Der Muhll, said in an official statement regarding France’s position on Khalifa Haftar’s recent war threats that “there is no military solution to be found in Libya.”
She continued that the priority is now to implement the ceasefire agreement, which also stipulates the departure of foreign forces and mercenaries in order to complete the political process, which should lead on to the organizing of elections in order to name a new government by the end of next year.
