A committee from the House of Representatives (HoR) urged, on Monday, those responsible for managing union tasks to submit the final lists of registered members to the High National Election Commission (HNEC) within two weeks, warning of taking measures against them.

During a meeting of the Committee for the Accreditation of Unions, Federations, and Professional Associations at the HoR HQ, it was noted that some individuals responsible for union management had failed to communicate with the HNEC, while others had not submitted the final membership lists of their unions and branches.

The committee also gave instructions to all public entities to not engage with union bodies unless they have regularized their status with the committee, in accordance with Law No. 3 of 2023 and its executive regulations.
