Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh issued a decision to form a committee of MPs to open lines of communication with the Qatari Shura Council.
The committee consists of the following MPs: Issa Al-Aribi, Sabah Juma'a, Al-Mabrouk Al-Kabeer, and Muhammad Ibrahim.
Qatar, and the HoR -aligned with Khalifa Haftar- saw their rivalry reach its heights in 2019, as Qatar, unlike its neighbour the Emarites, sided with the internationally recognized Government of National Accord during Haftar's offensive on Tripoli.
However, Saleh visited Qatar last September and met with its Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in a move to "turn a new page" with the Gulf state, as cited by MP Al-Arefi.
