Iraq has officially reopened its embassy in Tripoli ten years after its closure.

At the opening ceremony, Ahmed Sahhaf, the newly appointed charge d'affaires, emphasized his commitment to fostering bilateral relations by coordinating high-level visits between the two countries.

He also reiterated his country's support for international efforts to restore stability in Libya.

The embassy will play a vital role in promoting political and diplomatic activities and providing consular services to the Iraqi community in Libya, the diplomat said.
