A cautious calm prevailed in the city of Sabha on Friday after renewed clashes last Thursday.

Three fighters of the 6th Infantry Brigade were wounded in renewed clashes on Thursday near the headquarters of the brigade and the district of Hajara.

The spokesman of the Council of Elders and Dignitaries in Sabha, Hassan Raqeeq, said that the injuries were not severe, adding that the city is witnessing a rise in abduction cases between the tribes of Tebu and Awlad Suleiman, the latest being the kidnapping of an elderly man from the tribe of Awlad Suleiman.

Sabha Medical Center received last Wednesday 11 wounded and two dead people due to intermittent tribal clashes in the city.
