Kufra Municipality spokesman Abdullah Suleiman has stated that the entry of large numbers of displaced people from Sudan put great pressure on the health and security sectors in the city, confirming that the last shipment of food aid that was distributed to the displaced was at the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
Suleiman pointed out in a statement to the difficulty of inventory the numbers of displaced people from Sudan to Kufra, due to their continued displacement to the city, and their exit from it towards the cities of northern Libya, and that after facilitating the exit process by obtaining health certificates, according to him.
He explained that the municipal system monitored the entry of more than 15,000 displaced persons before Ramadan, while the Health Committee registered nearly 30,000 displaced persons.
