The Presidency of the House of Representatives (HoR) informed Tuesday the UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily of a previous decision of the HoR refusing to participate in any political dialogue with the participation of the Government of National Unity (GNU) headed by Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.

This rejection came less than a day after the UN envoy’s briefing at the Security Council, in which he talked about the position of the Libyan political parties regarding his initiative to hold a five-party dialogue: HoR, GNU, Khalifa Haftar, Presidential Council, and High Council of State.

According to the text of the HoR's rejection decision, the HoR refused to participate in any political dialogue with the participation of the outgoing GNU, adding that the decision whether or not the HoR will participate must be presented at an HoR session.
