The General Electricity Company (GECOL) has announced that it had repaired a technical malfunction in one of the power transmission lines of the Man-made River well system in the eastern field.
The company said in a statement on Saturday that it reassures the public that power has returned to normal in the river system before the water supply was affected by this defect.
Hours earlier, the Man-made River Authority had announced a power outage in the largest fields and that all wells and pumping stations in the eastern field in Al-Hasawneh-Sahl Al-Jafara system are out of service, saying that these faults would result in a sharp drop in daily production rates.
