The Head of Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi and deputy Abdullah Al-Lafi – as Supreme Commander of Libyan Army – reviewed with representatives of the western region within the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) the outcomes of the JMC meetings on the margins of disarmament and reintegration meeting in Spain.
The media office of Menfi said he and Al-Lafi had reiterated the importance of continuing the efforts of all parties to find a solution to the current crisis so that Libya can hold elections.
The meeting saw discussions on a number of obstacles and organizational issues facing the work of the JMC and ways to resolve them so that the JMC can continue to perform its roles. It also highlighted what the committee had accomplished during the last period and ways to maintain calm in Libya.
