The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, received on Saturday at the Council’s headquarters, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf, who delivered to him a letter from the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Menfi's media office said that the meeting discussed developments in the political and security situation in Libya and their impact on neighboring countries. It added that the importance of consolidating bilateral relations between the two countries was emphasized during the meeting within the framework of embodying and strengthening solidarity and cooperation, and preserving and intensifying the traditions of consultation and coordination in a way that would serve the interests of the two countries and the stability of the region.

The Algerian Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation arrived Saturday at Mitiga International Airport on an official visit, and he was received by the acting Minister Al-Taher Al-Baour.
