Presidential Council Head Mohamed Menfi met with UK Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, on Sunday to review the country’s political, economic, and security landscape.
The two sides underscored the importance of sustained cooperation with the UN and the international community to rebuild trust among Libya’s political factions and bring closer alignment of perspectives.
Menfi also emphasized the critical role of the High Financial Committee in ensuring transparency and accountability in managing oil and gas revenues.
He called for joint oversight of oil marketing operations, fuel procurement, and the implementation of mechanisms to safeguard Libya’s national resources.
