The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity has warned against importing predatory animals into Libya, warning violators of legal penalties.
The Ministry explained its ban on the import of predatory animals because of the great danger they pose to people’s safety, in addition to the fact that raising them violates the laws of nature, according to the statement.
This statement comes in the wake of many cases of predatory animals escaping from their keepers in a number of Libyan cities, the most recent of which was the Masalata tiger, in addition to the incident that shook Ajdabiya after a tiger preyed on the child Mundher Al-Saiti.
