Emad Al-Sayeh, Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), discussed with the US Special Envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, ways to support the national proposals and efforts to ensure the success of the upcoming electoral processes.
The HNEC said that Norland expressed his support for the Commission's endeavours at the technical and advisory levels to accomplish free and credible elections that reflect the Libyans' will.
He also praised the Commission's initiatives towards the municipal council elections and discussed the requirements for a credible roadmap to parliamentary and presidential elections, according to the US Embassy statement on X.
