The Tripoli Public Services Company has announced the reopening of Shatt Road route, according to the approved plan, after it was closed since 2005.
The company said on its Facebook page that the opening operations took place in cooperation with the Track Opening Committee, the company’s Municipal Guard Center, the Deterrence Apparatus, and the Judicial Police Service.
Social media platforms circulated videos of a number of residents protesting against the demolition of their homes located in the path of the road.
