The International Quartet Committee on Libya will hold a meeting in Cairo at the end of April to discuss the developments in the Libyan scene.

The Quartet includes the League of Arab States (LAS), the African Union (AU), the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN).

Members of the Quartet stressed in previous their meetings the importance of intensifying international and regional efforts to support the political settlement track in Libya and to complete the implementation of the entitlements provided in the political agreement.

They also emphasized the importance of encouraging the Libyan parties to engage in a serious and comprehensive political dialogue that will lead to an integrated political settlement and evolves the way for the adoption of the constitution and holding legislative and presidential elections in the country.
