An official at the Ras Ajdir border crossing from the Libyan side said that they reopened the border for the second time yesterday after they had been forced to close it again as protesters in Ben Geurdane prevented Libyan nationals from entering the Tunisian territory.

Just hours after the Libyan step, the Tunisian authorities pledged to take legal action against the protesters, adding that the Tunisian authorities have clashed with the demonstrators in Ben Guerdane town border in an attempt to contain the situation.

The Libyan authorities reopened the border crossing for the second time yesterday after the Tunisian authorities affirmed its commitment to the safety of Libyan travellers on the Tunisian territory.
