Several residents of the city of Sabha in south Libya protested outside the headquarters of the municipal council Saturday, demanding the authorities to assume their responsibilities towards releasing members of the reconciliation delegation representing southern Libyan who were abducted in Tripoli three months ago while on their way to the Italian capital Rome.

The protesters denounced what they called "kidnappings that target southerners in Tripoli"; warning in a statement that such irresponsible acts would harm reconciliation efforts.
