The head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohammed Takala, discussed on Tuesday, with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, the plan of the UN envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily, to resolve the Libyan crisis and reach consensus among all political parties in a way that supports the democratic path in Libya.
This came during a meeting held at the HCS headquarters in Tripoli, in the presence of the European Union’s Deputy Ambassador, to discuss ways to reduce the negative effects of illegal immigration on Libyan society and support Libyan efforts in this file.
Takala praised the important role played by the European Union in supporting comprehensive Libyan reconciliation efforts, stability, and reaching a national consensus.
