The United Nations Support Mission In Libya (UNSMIL) has renewed its call to all parties in Libya to join efforts to combat the Covid-19.

In a statement to mark one year since Haftar's aggression on Tripoli, the UNSMIL urged all concerned to activate the humanitarian truce immediately and cease all military operations to allow Libyan authorities to respond to the threat of COVID-19.

It also called on foreign backers, to accept the ceasefire agreement proposed in Geneva.

The mission indicated that since the beginning of the aggression, it had documented the killing of 356 civilians, along with 329 wounded, as well as the displacement of 140,000 people.
