The Law Enforcement Administration of the General Department of Security Operations announced the release of three Libyan citizens by Tunisian authorities after being detained on charges of smuggling food products, after facing a two-year prison sentence.
The handover ceremony took place at the Ras Ajdir border crossing, where the three citizens, Hamza Karim, Alaa Khalifa, and Ramadan Al-Toumi, were received from the Tunisian side, according to a statement by the administration on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
The administration emphasized its continued efforts to monitor the conditions of Libyan citizens abroad, safeguard their rights, and coordinate with relevant authorities to address their cases.
