The United Kingdom has renewed its readiness to provide technical and advisory support to the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) in order to enhance its readiness for the upcoming national elections.
This was stated by the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, during his meeting with the Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, in Tripoli on Thursday.
Al-Sayeh discussed with the British Ambassador ways to support the electoral process in Libya, and the HNEC’s level of readiness to implement municipal council elections, while Longdon expressed his appreciation for the HNEC efforts in preparation for the elections.
