The United Nations Support Mission in Libya expressed its concern over the violence in the city of Sabha, which led to 45 casualties between dead and wounded.

The mission called upon all parties to show restraint, resume dialogue and to bear in mind their duty towards the lives and property of civilians under the international humanitarian law, insisting that it is deploying all possible means to help defuse the tension.

Clashes broke out once again in the city of Sabha on Saturday, which were described as the most violent since the beginning of the conflict between the tribes of Tabu and Awlad Suleiman in February.
