The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expects that temperature will be moderate in the eastern regions, while a gradual rise will be recorded in most of the western regions of the country, especially the interior and southwest, and on Wednesday, it includes the eastern regions.
It expects that clouds will increase over the southwestern regions, with the possibility of thunderstorms today in Ghat and its surroundings, and tomorrow evening in some regions of the northwestern region, especially the Nafusa Mountain regions, with a markable drop in temperatures as of Wednesday.
The weather bulletin for Monday, 06 May 2024, is as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds, increasing from tomorrow evening, accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the mountainous areas.
- Wind: Moderate easterly to southeasterly may be active at times in some areas, turning on Wednesday into moderate to active northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (26-31 °C). Recording a rise tomorrow and a drop on Wednesday
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few cloudy.
- Wind: Moderate northeasterly in most areas.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (22-27°C), recording a gradual increase as of tomorrow.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderstorm clouds will increase today in the areas of Ghat and its surroundings, interspersed with scattered rain, while clouds will be few in the areas of Al-Jufra, Sebha, Ghadames, and Al-Hamada.
- Wind: Moderate southeasterly will be active tomorrow, causing dust and sand.
- Temperature: Ranging between (32-37 °C), an increase expected tomorrow.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds will appear over the area.
- Wind: Moderate northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (28-38 °C) recording a gradual rise on Wednesday.
