Member of UN-installed Presidency Council Ali Al-Gotrani has described PC members, including him, as a gang of conspirators who aim to destroy the nation.

Speaking to pro-Dignity Operation TV of Al-Hadat, Al-Gotrani said the nine PC members are working for their own agenda and interests, expressing fear that the PC might take decisions against the so-called Libyan National Army, Khalifa Haftar’s de facto armed militias, and the House of Representatives.

“This PC will never ever rule Libya and must be changed,” he claimed, confirming he will not quit the PC, which he blamed for all Libya’s problems, to use the veto power against any decisions against Dignity Operation.

“I will not quit or approve any government unless powers of the Supreme Commander of Libyan Army be given to the House of Representatives instead of the PC.” He confirmed.

According to the Libyan Political agreement signed in Skhirat, Morocco, the PC shall assume functions of the Supreme Commander of the Libyan army, but Dignity Operation supporters are still rejecting this.

In another TV appearance, Al-Gotrani accused PC members of corruption for granting millions to Ibrahim Jodran’s so-called Petroleum Facilities Guard.

“Prison is the right place for some members for granting LYD 45 million to Ibrahim Jodran,” he said.

He declared the dispute between PC members is so deep and it’s impossible for them to agree.

He called for the return to the fourth draft of Libyan political agreement to ensure a sovereign position to his master Khalifa Haftar, saying the PC should not depend on western countries to pass the government.
