The Attorney General's Office has ordered the detention of the Director of Al-Wahda Teaching Hospital, the Health Services Monitor in Derna Municipality, and the official responsible for the monitoring department's warehouses.
In a statement Friday, the Office said the apprehenders face charges of corruption and causing severe damage to public funds.
The report detailed that charges include creating false official documents claiming the receipt of medical equipment, contrary to reality.
On Thursday, the Deputy of the Attorney General's Office, Osama Tentoush, requested the Central Bank of Libya to seize the bank account balances of certain corporate entities and individuals across all operating banks in the country.
This measure affected more than 60 companies operating in real estate, construction, supply, travel, oil services, and foodstuffs, in addition to 23 individuals.
