Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah on Sunday discussed with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, economic cooperation and the opening of new air routes between Libya and Italy.

The Italian ambassador confirmed that Italian Airlines will launch its flights towards Tripoli at the end of next November as part of the company's winter plan, according to the PM media office.

During the meeting, Dbeibah received an invitation from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to attend the Africa-Italy Conference scheduled to be held in Rome next November.

The meeting also reviewed the procedures for holding a mutual meeting at the level of the interior ministers in Tripoli to discuss the outcomes of Rome's meeting on immigration.

The session grouped Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs Adel Jomaa, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Cabinet Office, Al-Taher Al-Baour, and government spokesman Mohamed Hamouda.
