The Minister of Transport and President of the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, has opened in the Moroccan city of Rabat the work of the extraordinary session of the General Assembly of the organization, in the presence of his Moroccan counterpart, Abdel Samad Qiuh, and the participation of heads and members of delegations of member states.

The session's agenda included increasing the number of members of the organization's Executive Council, in addition to a number of topics related to increasing the effectiveness of the organization and developing its work mechanism and support for countries facing challenges to develop the level of air transport services.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Al-Shahoubi met with Quih, during which he stressed the great importance that the Government of National Unity support to restoring air traffic between the two countries to develop bilateral relations between the two countries. 

For his part, the Moroccan Minister of Transport stressed the importance of supporting relations with Libya and his intention to complete approvals to restore air traffic as soon as possible, noting that the issue will be presented to the Council of Ministers meeting to complete the necessary approvals in this regard.
