The High National Elections Commission is able to conduct new elections in just 3 months, HNEC Chairman Emad Sayah has declared, a step that could resolve the ongoing political crisis in the country.

Sayah confirmed logistic and technical preparations for any new parliamentary elections across Libya are ready, adding that the commission has mechanisms that allow the IDPs to cast their votes in their places.

The HNEC had already conducted three elections under the UN supervision since the Liberation of Libya.
