A delegation from Interpol's General Secretariat visited Libya to discuss security cooperation under "Project Gemini," aimed at boosting safety and control at Libyan border points.
The visit included inspections at Tripoli Port and Mitiga International Airport, part of ongoing international efforts to combat organized crime and terrorism.
During the visit, Major General Nour Al-Din Al-Sha'alali, head of the Arab and International Criminal Police Office, held talks with the Interpol team to review challenges and propose solutions to expedite work.
The discussions underscored the need for strengthened international partnerships to tackle organized crime and terrorism.
Interpol praised Libya's efforts and reiterated its commitment to supporting the country in achieving greater security and stability.
