A statement by the Local Ministry on Facebook said the two sides reviewed joint projects between Italian governmental institutions and Libya's Ministry of Local Government, including the My Municipality and the CIHEAM Bari projects.
They further touched upon the projects between the two countries in general and exchanged notes on how to provide support and raise sound inquiries to ensure the continuation and success of their progress.
For his part, Ambassador Alberini affirmed his country's desire to develop bilateral cooperation ties with Libya, underscoring that local governance is an important theme that the two sides should work on together.
