The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected Clouds to increase this evening and early tomorrow in some areas of the southwest Ghat - Al-Uwaynat - Tahala - Umm Al-Araneb - Idri - Bint Bayh - Marzuq - Ubari - Al-Qatrun - Brak Al-Shati - Sabha, interspersed with scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms that may sometimes be heavy in some of these areas, causing water to accumulate and flood some valleys. The chance of rain tomorrow includes the areas of Al-Jufra – Ajdabiya, the Gulf and some areas of the Green Mountain.
The National Center for Meteorology expected in its daily bulletin that the southeasterly wind will be active today and tomorrow in the areas of (Sirte - Al-Jufra – the Gulf and Benghazi Plain – The Green Mountain areas), causing dust and dirt to be stirred up in some areas. The weather will remain warm (in most areas of Libya) as temperature during the day are above their seasonal averages. It is expected that during the coming days, temperature will remain high during the day in most areas of the country, especially on Friday.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Jafara Plain - Nafusa Mountain (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy
- Wind: Southerly to southeasterly, moderate in speed, gradually turning to southwesterly, active tomorrow morning in Sirte and the surrounding areas, causing dust and dirt to be stirred up..
- Temperature: High today, ranging between (23-30 °C), reaching (36°C )in Sirte and its interior, expected a rise tomorrow, especially in the coastal areas extending from Ras Jadir to Zawiya.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds to increase in the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad, especially tomorrow evening in Murada, Ajdabiya, the Gulf and some areas of the Green Mountain, accompanied by scattered rain.
- Wind: Southerly to southeasterly, active in speed in most areas, causing dust and dirt to be stirred up, especially in the Gulf and the Benghazi Plain.
- Temperature: Ranges between (25-31 °C) in most areas and between (33-36°C) in the Gulf.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will also increase this evening over the areas of Al-Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames and Hamada, especially over (Ghat - Al-Uwainat - Idri - Bint Bayh - Murzuq - Ubari - Al-Qatrun - Umm Al-Aranib and possibly reaching Brak Al-Shati and Sabha), interspersed with scattered rain accompanied by cells that may sometimes be heavy in some areas, causing water to accumulate and flood and the flow of some valleys.
- Wind: Southerly to southwesterly, light to moderate in speed, active tomorrow over the areas of Jufra - Ubari - Murzuq, causing dust and sand to be stirred up.
- Temperature: Ranging between (31-37°C), in most areas.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazerbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy in the oases, Sarir, Tazerbo and Kufra.
- Wind: Light to moderate easterly to southeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (28-31°C), expected to make gradual and slight rise over most areas over the next two days.
