The Minister-designate of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Al-Taher Al-Baour, said that the "international system has failed miserably in stopping the aggression against Palestinians."

These remarks came during his participation in a meeting on condemning the Israeli occupation’s violations against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, in the presence of a number of foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries.

Al-Baour also stressed Libya's position that rejected the forced displacement of Palestinians from their land, calling for an immediate ceasefire and end of the ongoing aggression. He called on "all free people in the world" to put pressure on their governments for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent entry of humanitarian aid.

Over the past few days, the Israeli occupation has escalated its aggression against various occupied territories, in addition to the escalation taking place in the Gaza Strip.
