The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi participated in the Fifth Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union, the Regional Economic Communities, the Regional Mechanisms and the African Union Member States in Nairobi, Kenya, along with Libyan Chief of Intelligence and Ministers of Youth and Finance. 

According to a brief statement published by the Media Office of the Presidential Council, the participants included President of the Union of the Comoros, President of the African Union, President of the Republic of Kenya, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, and heads of states and governments, heads of regional economic communities and regional mechanisms.

Menfi attended last Thursday in the Sudan Neighboring Countries Summit, which was held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, considering during his speech at the summit that "the security and humanitarian impact resulting from the conflict in Sudan was very difficult and exceeded the borders to neighboring countries".
