The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, has discussed with the head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, steps taken and entrusted to the Central Bank of Libya in the context of addressing all unilateral decisions.
The two sides stressed the need to restore the bank to its technical role away from political conflict and to work in the spirit of one team through a unified board of directors of experienced and competent people.
The two sides agreed on the need to put in place the necessary controls that contribute to controlling public spending and working to improve citizens' living standards in all aspects and focusing on the development and reconstruction programme throughout the country by agreeing on a unified budget.
They also agreed to activate the National Referendum Commission to ensure good governance, and to ensure the people's interaction with political and economic decisions.
