The head of the Presidential Council,  Mohammed Menfi, has reaffirmed his commitment to the necessity of ending all transitional stages through fair and free elections with the participation of all Libyans.

This came during his meeting with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, to discuss the latest political developments in the country, according to the Media Office of the Presidential Council.

He expressed his appreciation for Britain's role in supporting the Presidential Council and stability in Libya.

For his part, Longden praised the role played by Menfi in bringing together the political parties and advancing the political process, in a way that achieves the desires and aspirations of all Libyans. 

He also affirmed UK support for the initiative of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, Which aims to make the electoral process successful and achieve stability in Libya.
