Member of the Presidential Council (PC) Ahmed Hamza, met Tuesday with the Mayors of Sabha, Hamid al-Khayali and Wadi al-Buanyis, Alqasim Said.

The meeting discussed the situation of the southern region in general, especially the security and service file, and the measures taken in this regard.

The meeting also touched upon the problems experienced by the municipalities of the south and ways to solve them.

The southern region is witnessing a catastrophic situation, especially in terms of the lack of fuel and health and banking services.

The security conditions on the ground also continue to deteriorate, following the recent confrontations in Umm Al-Aranib area between the local people and foreign-armed groups, who are carrying criminal acts, such as barbarism, robbery and kidnapping.
