Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Haddad, has discussed the European Union's role in enhancing stability in Libya.

This came during a meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicolas Orlando, and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement published on the General Staff’s Facebook page.

The statement added that the meeting discussed Libyan developments, the role of the European Union in enhancing stability, and prospects for cooperation between the European Union and the military institutions in various fields.

Orlando praised the effective steps taken by the Chief of General Staff towards building the Libyan army and his efforts to unify the military institution, and the stability and noticeable improvement in security that the country has witnessed, according to the statement.
