Libya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni, in his capacity as a representative of the Islamic and Arab group in the United Nations General Assembly, said everyone is talking about the victims of Gaza as mere numbers, forgetting that they carry stories behind which are families, friends, and dreams that have faded.
‘The only just solution is to end the occupation and establish an independent, sovereign Palestinian state with Holy Al-Quds as its capital,’ Al-Sunni added during a Security Council session regarding the situation in Gaza.
He emphasized that history will record this tragedy as a stain of disgrace on all of those who remained silent about it.’
